Grapevine Vintage Railroad

Take a trip back in history with a nostalgic ride on a vintage train. "Puffy" the 1896 steam locomotive, the oldest continuously operating steam engine in the South, is currently out of service due to restoration.  "Puffy" is hopefully expected to be back on the track soon, but, in the meantime, two 1950's era locomotives pull guests in authentic 1920's-era train coaches.   The historic Cotton Belt Route takes riders in air-conditioned comfort from the Grapevine depot to the Fort Worth Stockyards, with time to explore the area before the return trip.  Tips:  Reservations are suggested.  Plan ahead - there are some days prior to summer that the train does not run.  Check out the North Pole Express for a fun celebration during the holidays.
